Brand Evaluation

Updated: Feb 6

An independent evaluation by Strat House values the Growing Kent & Medway brand at between £3.2 million and £5.5 million.

Details

This evaluation assesses the impact and market position of Growing Kent & Medway as a Strength in Places-funded project. It moves beyond standard metric reporting to quantify the intangible asset value of the brand itself, demonstrating its rapid establishment as a central pillar of the region’s agri-food sector.

The report finds that the programme has successfully positioned itself as a "one-stop shop" for innovation. It highlights how the ecosystem we have built – connecting businesses, research institutes, and funding – creates value far exceeding the initial grant investments.

Key insights from the evaluation include:

  • Economic Valuation: The brand holds a tangible market value of up to £5.5m, validating the "Strength in Places" investment model.

  • Strategic Positioning: The brand is viewed by stakeholders as a critical connector that de-risks innovation for local businesses.

  • Future Resilience: The established brand equity provides a strong foundation for continuing operations and attracting future investment beyond the initial funding.
